You’ve made the investment in securing a judgment against a debtor, and it comes down to the real question: How do I get paid?
Historically it has been very expensive to track down whether debtors have verified open checking accounts, resulting in many judgments going unpaid – in some cases for many years.
Now collection organizations that can perform a query of basic account information and create a spreadsheet have access to affordable resources that can track this information down quickly and economically. And the proof is in the payout – debt owners and attorneys using these resources have been able to achieve a significant and quick ROI collecting on accounts that have languished for years.
In this presentation, First Data’s Don Davey will provide insights into how debt owners can get paid now by determining which debtors have verified open checking accounts and issuing bank levies. Topics discussed will include:
• Overview: how these resources can work and ways they can be applied
• Case study: How debt buyers and collection attorneys can verify open checking accounts and see significant return on investment
• Managing the pipeline: balancing old versus new debts and creating an ongoing system to maximize return

Pyramid Financial Solutions is proud to present the next generation of predictive collections and recovery scoring. ADAPT is the product of statistical analysis, debtor demographics, credit data and non-credit data combined with individual variable change. Unlike other products, ADAPT actually changes and adapts with individual life circumstances as frequently as every 24 hours to keep collection strategies fresh with the latest and most up-to-date information. Static scoring models do an adequate job of measuring inanimate objects but they cannot match the power of ADAPT for tracking the variable changes that happen to a consumer in everyday life. If you are collecting debt from consumers, this is a presentation you will not want to miss.

As president of Pyramid Financial Solutions, Tom Lane puts more than 10 years of receivables management experience to work for his customers.
Lane began his financial career as an assistant controller for Midwest Bankers Group, where he discovered he was more interested in impacting his company’s financials than just reporting them. From that point on, he would embark on a career in debt collection and receivables management. Lane gained experience in consumer collections through positions at Greentree Financial, Indy Mac Mortgage Holdings and Oakwood Homes, where he also worked as a corporate trainer. However, as his interest in the collection industry grew, Lane decided that he was truly interested in the commercial collections business.
Lane began working in commercial collections at Novelty, Inc. During this time, Lane developed much of the industry knowledge and strategic understanding that would prepare him for his current work.
Lane joined C1 Truck Driver Training in 2003 as finance manager, but soon found that the company needed help collecting on its many student loans. In January 2007, Pyramid Financial Solutions was created as a separate company to manage C1’s finances – and Lane took the helm as its president.
Lane was named one of the 50 Most Influential Collection Professionals of 2007 and 2008 for his accomplishments, performances, and contributions to the collection industry. He is a former member of the board of directors for the Indiana Institute of Credit and a 1994 graduate of Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis.
